If the consumer does not include at least his name, ID, address or email, date of the claim or complaint and the details thereof, these will be considered as not presented (art 5 D.S. 006-2014-PCM).

The supplier must respond to the claim within a period of no more than thirty (30) calendar days, and may extend the period for up to thirty (30) more days, after notifying the consumer.

CLAIM: Disagreement related to products or services.

COMPLAINT: Disagreement not related to products or services; or, discomfort or discontent regarding customer service.

The formulation of the claim does not prevent resorting to other means of dispute resolution nor is it a prerequisite for filing a complaint with INDECOPI.
